Welcome back CSU alumni!  The Career Center is a friendly, knowledgeable, and comprehensive career resource dedicated to outstanding customer service by providing collaborative, quality programs and services that connect students, faculty, alumni, and employers. We strive to empower students and alumni to attain satisfying careers through the development of individualized education and career paths.

Career Center services are free for current students and alumni within the first year following graduation (with the exception of access to Optimal Impression).  For alumni beyond the first year following graduation, you are entitled to meet with a Career Counselor for one, one-hour appointment per year.  To schedule an appointment, call (970) 491-5707.

CareerRAM
  • Job Listings. View new job and internship announcements sent to The Career Center by employers in Colorado and across the United States. All opportunities are categorized by major, so you can look at your specific area of interest.
  • Meet the Employers . Come listen to employers discuss their company and career opportunities on campus.
Career Shift
  • Career Shift is an advanced system which allows you to search for companies and contact information from the this database featuring over a million companies across the nation and internationally.  Career Shift also allows you to create and maintain a personalized job search campaign. 
Career Counseling
  • Career Counselors are available for one appointment to help get you started on your job search, discuss resources or review your resume.  Please read statement above regarding our alumni career counseling policy.
Job & Internship Search Preparation
  • Resumé and Cover Letter Critiques. Bring your resumé or cover letter for a review by one of our Career Center counselors.
  • Job Search Information and tips are available through the "Find a Job or Internship" section of this site on the home page, or from the navigation links to the right. in the Find a Search for job postings through CareerRAM, as well as tips and strategies for a successful job search.
Career Fairs
  • The Career Center sponsors several annual Career Fairs. Career fairs are an excellent opportunity to speak to employers about career trends and potential employment opportunities.
Career Workshops and Presentations
  • Career Development Workshops provide ongoing opportunities for the exchange of information on resumés, Job Search, Interviewing, and How to Market Yourself to Employers.

  • Workforce Centers by City - Look up your local Colorado Workforce Center.
  • Larimer County Workforce Center - The Larimer County Workforce Center (LCWC) is a federally-funded program that provides free job search and career transition services and hiring assistance services to the residents and businesses of Larimer County. LCWC offers a wide array of workshops on career topics such as career exploration and job search techniques, as well as hosting job fairs for regional employers. Customers who meet federal eligibility guidelines may qualify for some of LCWC's specialized services that include assistance for retraining and intensive one-on-one career coaching.   • Connecting Colorado - a place where individuals seeking employment and businesses seeking employees can be matched and brought together to fit each other's needs. The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment provides this site as a free resource to job seekers and employers who wish to use the Colorado Workforce Center system through a convenient and secure method.
  • Choices® CIC-Advancer for Adults - Take surveys about your interests and skills or use previous job titles and desired job characteristics to obtain occupational suggestions. Compare comprehensive information about these careers, and then chart a path to obtain the necessary education and skills to obtain a job in that field. Review colleges nationwide that offer programs and majors in that career area. Create a professional resume and practice interviews online.
  • CSU Alumni Association - Check out the Alumni Associations calendar of events to learn about ways you can bulid your professional network.
  • CSU Admissions - Admissions can help you address questions about returning to school for more education. 
  • Colorado Career Development Association, Counselor Finder - Learn about private Career Counselors in your local area (the Career Center does not endorse any of these counselors).
  • The Counseling and Career Development Graduate Program trains future counselors and is seeking client volunteers for the fall and spring semesters.  Counseling is free of charge.  Areas for counseling could include, but are not limited to: career concerns, academic concerns, relationships, loss, adjustment, transition, stress and time mangement, anger, guilt and other emotions.
